Stance

Stance describes the attitude toward your topic. It is typically expressed through the the language, tone, and content of the writing. Taking a stance in engineering writing demonstrates the author’s expertise and ability to make informed judgments. The writer should strive to present information in a neutral and unbiased manner. Engineers must maintain a professional and objective perspective, placing more emphasis on facts, statistics, and logical reasoning than on personal opinions or feelings. In my engineering proposal, my stance is presenting the Morpheus map app as a cutting-edge solution to the problem of navigation and traffic management.
